I don't take that lightly and strive to create images that will hang on your walls for years and years to come. I focus on relationships and connection. Yes, we’ll take some beautiful photos of your brand-new babe, but I’m all about making sure you’re in the photos too. Your baby will treasure those photos the most when they’re older! Watching a family grow through photos is one of the best things in life for me. Walking into client homes and seeing my work displayed so proudly fills me up with so much joy and I know that's what I was put here to do. Create. Document. Photos tell your story. Plus, I come to you so you don’t have to stress about leaving the house with a newborn in those first few weeks!

  • Lifestyle focuses more on your relationships and your environment. Instead of the super-posed newborn sessions, I focus mostly on baby-led “posing” and the relationship between you and your baby. (Nothing at all wrong with posed sessions - I used to do many! But I’ve fallen more in love with the relationship side, and the real-life look of lifestyle.) This means baby in their nursery, on your bed, cuddled next to your pup, in your arms, next to big sister, etc and them doing what they do. I do pose you (everyone wants to look their best in photos) and I will help pose baby’s hands by their face occasionally.

  • I recommend securing your appointment toward the end of your second trimester or early in the third. The more notice I have, the more flexible I can be.

    While you do not have to choose your date when you book, I can at least have you in my queue based on your due date & can leave room in my schedule for you! I only photograph newborns and dogs & take a limited number of clients per month so I can devote my attention to my clients. I always joke that while I do not need to be the first person you contact on the way to the hospital, or while in labor for a home birth, if you can designate someone to let me know when baby has arrived, I greatly appreciate the heads up!

    I typically photograph newborns anywhere from when you get home from the hospital up to one month. The sooner we schedule photos, within the first two weeks, the sleepier your baby will likely be. The older they get, the more alert they become so if you like the sleepy-baby look, book sooner!

    A contract and deposit is required to hold your appointment.

  • Similar to the info above regarding scheduling, it will depend on your baby and when your session takes place. If you’d like your baby to be sleepy, schedule within the first two weeks of life. However, every baby and every session is different. Some babies on the older side sleep right through, and some brand new babies are alert and bright-eyed! There’s no way to predict how they will be but we can follow the guideline of the newer they are, the higher chance of sleepiness. A warm environment, a full belly and cozy swaddles will also help lull them to sleep! Morning appointments are also best with babies, especially if older siblings are in photos.

  • I bring swaddles with me for you to use unless you’d like to use your own. I recommend not dressing your baby in outfits because they’re often swimming in them and the swaddles look so nice in photos. But if you have an outfit or swaddle blanket that is special to you, go for it!

  • You’re the one having just given birth so choose everyone’s outfits based on yours! You want to be comfortable. Dresses make great options, but I would avoid bold patterns. I send out more tips in the welcome guide upon booking.

Save when you bundle a newborn session with a maternity and/or Fresh 48 session. Most clients typically invest $1800-$3500 on newborn sessions.
